So I'm starting to get settled into my teaching placement. Did a lesson on shapes today. Har dee har. The teacher thought that the lesson was good and that it was cute that the materials were all handmade. But I thought it was sort of awkward and that next time, I should have tape balls ready made to stick onto the objects that had to be taped onto the board. Myeh.

Also. The worst thing happened. I forgot this kid's name. Oh my gosh. Well, I didn't FORGET it. I mixed it up with this other kid from the morning class. Because THIS kid used to be from the morning class but switched. And like... holy crap. I FORGOT HIS NAME. ARGH. And then, my mentor teacher had to whisper it to me and I felt like SUCH an idiot. Frick. THEY BOTH HAVE BLONDE HAIR AND ARE THE SAME HEIGHT AND USED TO ALWAYS PLAY TOGETHER SO WTHHHHHHHHHH <-- coming up with excuses.

Ummm. Well, while we're on the topic of me being a fail... I'm a receptionist at a social work office and once in a while, a supervisor who holds group sessions at another office, will call with the attendance so I can report it to an intern who calls the families of the clients who are at the group session at the time. So anyway, when I buzzed the intern, I suddenly forgot the name of the supervisor, but the line already connected so I was like "Umm... whats-her-face called with the attendance--" (at this point, I am horrified at what I have blurted out) "--Oh gosh! I just suddenly forgot her name. um um Virginia! Oh gosh... yeah. she called with the attendance." (proceeds to list names for intern) But like oh mannn. That was BAD. And she started laughing. Mmrawrm.

Yeah. Forgetting names. See the pattern? Ironic that my friend just sent me a video about alzheimer's patients. >_> She didn't even KNOW about all of this either. Gawd.

But with two fails, comes SOME good things at least. I made the most delicious apple cake with my sister. Seriously. It's awesome. I think we should make it again. Spartan apples, anyone? lol
